Praying for a "Spirituality of Pentecost"
On the Eve of Pentecost 2004 (May 29, 2004), addressing thousands of pilgrims in St. Peters Square, John Paul II had this to say: "Thanks to the Charismatic Movement, many Christians, men and women, youths and adults, have rediscovered Pentecost as a living and present reality in their daily life. I desire that the spirituality of Pentecost be spread in the church, as a renewed thrust of prayer, holiness, communion and proclamation."
If the "Spirituality of Pentecost" is to be spread in the Church as our beloved former Pope John Paul II desired and as many of us are convinced, God desires, we must pray for this to come to pass. The best way for this is to pray a perpetual novena to the Our Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. The following prayers are merely suggestions to pray for a "Spirituality of Pentecost" to be spread in our church.
Prayer can and has changed the world. Let prayer change your world!
"Faith can move mountains, but prayer moves God !!!" - Joni Ericson Tada
Acts 1:8 - but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."
Mark 10:27 - Looking at them, Jesus said, "With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God."
